Continuance of Care- It's the cutting edge philosophy to meet the growing need in the Rapid City market. Westhills Village broke ground on an expansion just east of their main facility on Fifth and Texas Streets. The Independent apartments, new Assisted Living rooms and healthcare or nursing home facilities will be connected via a skyway. Because of the CCRC structure, services can evolve as residents requirements change over time, with minimal upheaval.
Our interdisciplinary team consisting of a Social Services Coordinator, Life Enrichment Director, Director of Nursing, Therapist, and Dining Services meet on a regular basis with each resident and his or her family. This Plan of Care meeting ensures that the specific needs of each resident are being met by the most effective means possible.
As the needs of residents change, our dedicated team will ensure their physical and emotional needs are met in a compassionate and professional environment.
Note that as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), generally one has to be a resident of our independent living apartments in order to qualify for the Assisted Living area and then the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). Existing Resident have priority status, however if we have beds available in the SNF, we may accept residents outside of the CCRC.
In-home care may also be available.
