Prairie Hills Transit, a non-profit organization, promotes, supports, and delivers safe and efficient public and specialized transportation for patrons in its service area. Prairie Hills Transit began transportation service in 1989. Prairie Hills Transit presently provides service in a 12,000 square mile area of both the Northern and Southern Hills to all ages and has a fleet of over 40 lift-equipped vehicles and 4 bus garages. Prairie Hills Transit is a public transportation service providing service to all persons regardless of age and/or disability. Our service provides a means of seamless transportation between communities for a variety of purposes and gives back a sense of independence to persons who were previously forced to rely on the availability of friends or family to provide transportation.
