Regional Health's Home+ hospice programs provide compassionate palliative and supportive care for terminally ill people with an end-stage disease process and limited life expectancy. Hospice offers physical, emotional and spiritual care for both the patient and his or her family. Hospice is a philosophy of care that provides medical and supportive services to those who have a shortened life expectancy. These services are available for people of all ages.Business hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, but nursing services are available on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Accepts self pay, private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, VA and also has a financial assistance program for eligible individuals.
Hospice care is available in the home, in assisted living centers, nursing homes or in the Hospice House. Offering end-of-life care for terminal patients in a comfortable setting, the house is designed to care for 12 patients and their families. The 12 private rooms with 24-hour medical care are nestled next to Rapid City Regional Hospital.
