Our main focus is to provide "primary" comprehensive care which includes treatment of acute health care issues, plus general wellness and physical exams, prevention, women's wellness and family planning, diabetes care, and fitness. Substance abuse assessments and counseling and mental health counseling are also provided.
First and foremost as primary health care centers, the most significant health problem is treating acute health care illness/issues - those patients who are sick and need treatment, i.e. flu, colds.
SDUIH also provides health services that prevent health problems, such as immunizations, women's annual exams, etc. Additionally, a high number of patients are seen for chronic health problems such as diabetes, cardiovascular and weight health care issues.
We accept self-payment, insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and a sliding scale.
