Description:
The Dougherty Hospice House is a free-standing Hospice facility that provides three levels or care: acute general impatient care, respite care, and residential care to any patient who has been given a 6 month or less life expectancy prognosis. The care is focused on relief of any distressing symptoms and support to patients and their families during the dying process. The care is provided by an interdisciplinary team. There is 24-hour RN coverage. This is classified as an Inpatient Hospice by the State.
There are no restrictions on age or income, etc. Anybody with a 6 months or less life expectancy as verified by their primary physician is eligible.
We accept self-payment, insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and sliding scale payment.
