A senior nutrition program of Western South Dakota which provides a noon meal each weekday to individuals aged 60 or better. Meals are served in a dining room setting for those who are able to attend. Home delivered meals are available for those who are homebound due to illness or frailty.
Each meal meets specific criteria for nutritional content and provides the consumer with 1/3 of his/her daily nutrient needs.
Meals are available for anyone aged 60 or better without regard to income status. A limited amount of federal funding is available to defray the cost of each meal. Participants donate toward the remaining cost of the meals.
