Description:
As of March 2023, This site is still temporarily closed. For frozen meal service or other information please contact Amy McGillivary 605-256-6518 Extension 110
All congregate including Animals Bar & Grill, and star card locations that elect to remain open will be required to offer a take home option for the senior meals. Local site managers are to provide all necessary disposable containers at no cost to the caterer. It is our recommendation that area seniors contact local caterers to find out their pickup and/or delivery options.
To assist area seniors, a frozen meal program has being created at our Brookings, Madison, and Watertown kitchens. This new, choice-menu option allows seniors to select a pack that includes: 7 frozen meals (selected from a list of 10 options), a small loaf of bread, ½ gallon of milk, and fruit juice. The packs will be offered for a free will donation with a suggested amount of $28.
Inter-Lakes Community Action Partnership, Inc - ICAP 60s Plus Dining is a senior nutrition program which provides a noon meal each weekday to individuals aged 60 and older. Meals are served in a congregate setting for those who are able to attend. Home delivered meals are available for those who are homebound due to illness or frailty. Each meal meets specific criteria for nutritional content, providing the consumer with 1/3 of his/her daily nutrient needs.
Meals are available for anyone aged 60 or older without regard to income status. A limited amount of federal funding is available to defray the cost of each meal. Participants donate toward the remaining cost of the meal.
Self payment and free will donation accepted.
