Avera Home Health and Maintenance Home Health offer a full range of skilled nursing, therapy, and home health aide services. Home Health: Avera Home Health staff members work with physicians and members of the health care team to coordinate home care services. By providing direct care and education, Avera Home Health can help restore and improve a person's health. Staff are experienced and trained. Services may be short-term following an illness or surgery or long-term for patients with chronic diseases.
Home Health Nurses provide: health assessment and teaching, medication administration wound care and dressing changes, blood draws, ostomy care, Foley catheter care, IV services, diabetes programs, and IV feeding and other diet support programs.
Home Health Aides provide personal care services under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. They assist with activities of daily living, helping the patient to remain at home. The services may include: bathing and grooming care, help with dressing, personal care, transfer and ambulation assistance, exercise supervision, medication administration, blood pressure checks, wound care, companionship, and relief for caregivers (respite care). Three general therapy areas may be available for homebound individuals: physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
Individuals are eligible for home health regardless of race, gender, religion, age, national origin or economic status. We accept self-payment, insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and Veterans Administration.
