Description:
The St. Francis House provides shelter and believes in supporting a home environment for each of our guests. Initially, guests are in a seven day program which requires them to obtain employment while encouraging their self-worth. After seven days, they move to the Genesis Program where they meet regularly with a Program Coordinator. Meetings focus on debt management, personal goals, and maintaining employment with emphasis on career interests and capabilities. Once they have lived at the St Francis House for 4 months, they move to the Hope Program-a transitional curriculum. While in this program guests have the opportunity to gain independence, reach their personal goals and make a seamless transition which increases the likelihood of long-term independence.
The St. Francis House is a zero tolerance facility for alcohol, illegal drugs/non-prescribed medications and gambling. Guests are required to obtain employment and pay off their debts.
Individuals must obtain and maintain full time employment and make deposits into a house savings account. The St. Francis House does not accept anyone who has a violent offense, which includes simple assaults and/or a sexual charge or conviction.
